We're looking for an Account Director to establish and nurture relationships with our amazing clients.

Full-time · Anywhere (UK Wide)

Reporting directly to the Group Account Director, our Account Directors are responsible for leading pods within our Client Services team. As the primary relationship holders, our Account Directors are accountable for creating, nurturing, and retaining strong partnerships with our clients.

Account Directors are critical to reaching our business objectives, focusing primarily on hitting our revenue targets and commercial OKRs. Working closely with our Head of New Business, you’ll work to develop and identify opportunities with existing and new clients, and develop new business strategies that allow us to overdeliver on our revenue targets.

Account Directors also need to be effective people managers since they’re responsible for managing Senior Account Managers, Account Managers, and Account Executives within their Pod.

The Role

  • Implement the required processes throughout the team to achieve the business goals/targets and OKRs
  • Be accountable, along with the Head of New Business, in achieving our revenue goals for each financial year
  • Provide updates to the CSD on behalf of the client service department for leadership meetings
  • Support and coach the team members of your Pod in their own role, and in their coaching of others, to enhance performance / efficiencies across the AM team
  • Support the overall performance of the client service department, focusing on your own Pod team's accountability to achieve the revenue targets of the company
  • Contribute to monthly forecasting meetings
  • Work with the CSD to develop / evolve processes within the team that allow us to be more efficient and profitable
  • Helping where required to design and implement training programmes within the team, seeking any required funding for this from the Head of People & Culture
  • Lead your Pod team to ensure all projects are run efficiently and profitably
  • Attend and contribute to weekly Client Service team meetings, encouraging the wider team to feed in
  • Ensure all clients are satisfied with their experience and output through regular contact with the clients
  • Establish priority projects / clients and communicate this weekly to the AM team and wider business
  • Lead the accounts of the agency’s high profile clients, ensuring we exceed their expectations, meet their strategic objectives and offer the highest level of service
  • Regularly attend networking events and set targets for your pod members to do the same
  • Work with the other Department Heads on developing and implementing new business strategies and identifying proactive opportunities to develop our existing, priority clients
  • Support the Head of New Business on key pitches and tenders for new clients as required
  • Work with other Pod leads in developing strategies that maximise and develop current client relationships
  • Resolve challenges as and when Senior AM’s require support (i.e. inability to meet deadlines, complaints raised by dissatisfied clients, misconduct within the team)
  • Lead on internal briefing meetings for key clients alongside the relevant lead from the creative team
  • Contribute to revenue streams (i.e. the Pipeline) and regularly update the Head of New Business to ensure that all reports are accurate and information can be accessed in real time
  • Carry out quarterly project audits with the project management team and other relevant team members
  • Be a proactive people manager via setting clear expectations, regular communication via 1-1’s, review cycles, managing performance in the moment of need seeking additional support from the CSD or Head of People & Culture as necessary

Other Details

  • Full-Time position
  • Based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, or London
  • Salary £45-55k, DOE and location. May include on target earnings.
